The Japanese Society for Mathematical Biology (JSMB) is pleased to announce the 14th annual meeting held in 2004 at Hiroshima University (Higashi-hiroshima, Japan).

After the Japanese Association for Mathematical Biology (JAMB), founded in 1985, the JSMB succeeds the series of its symposia as the annual meeting, expecting the future development in this interdisciplinary field, with the invited lecture by the winner of Okubo Prize, and the other leading researchers invited from abroad.  The main aim of symposium is to provide an opportunity of fruitful communication among different, interdisciplinary, and cross-over reseach fields related to Mathematical Biology.

This is the first annual meeting organized by the JSMB renewed from the JAMB, held as the Symposium on Mathematical Biology!
