About RCPAM

Vision for RCPAM

The Research Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics (RCPAM) was established on December 7, 2012, as part of the Graduate School of Information Sciences (GSIS), Tohoku University.

GSIS possessed six laboratories of mathematics when established in 1993 and now it possesses seven laboratories (Mathematical Structures I-IV, Mathematical System Analysis I-III). Based on their achievements, RCPAM was established as a unique research organization of mathematics covering from fundamentals to applications. It seeks to enhance research activities, to promote international collaborations, and to contribute to the modern society through interdisciplinary research.

Activities

  1. Colloquia (mainly by invited researchers)
  2. Conferences, workshops, regular seminars (Combinatorics Seminar, etc.)
  3. Cooperation with Interdisciplinary Information Sciences, an international journal published by GSIS
